[Q] How to replace the dialer from Stage UI dock?

Even with 2.2 the Streak's dialer sucks! My main complain is that it doesnt have smart dialing (bringing up the name as u type).

I installed dialer one, but it wont launch when I press the dialer from Stage UI dock...

Any way to replace the default dialer? or switch the dock's dialer shortcut to other program?

Did you ever discover an answer to your question? There are plenty around but it switches to the original while your actually in a call?
