Didn't calibrate the battery

Just flashed Syndicate Loaded ROM the other day and didn't know about calibrating the battery, is it too late to calibrate now or will I need to reflash the ROM?

ive yet to calibrate my battery.. at all

How do you calibrate the battery?

charge all the way
unplug, replug phone, let it top off again
wipe battery stats
discharge all the way
charge all the way

I very rarely recalibrate my batteries. I got a deal on a couple spare batteries and chargers so I just swap batteries as needed, which is usually only once a day.

Sorry if this is a dumb question (I don't own an Epic 4G, I'm asking for two members of my family who do), but how do you wipe battery stats? Do you have to be rooted to do that?

I've seen 25 hours without calibration.

Both Epics in my family are only getting a few hours out of their batteries, even with no use, and they used to get very good battery life, which leads me to believe that it's a calibration thing, but they're not rooted and I can't find any way to wipe the battery stats on their phones.

Can anyone help me?

I wish they would build such a calibration function into the OS, so it could be done without rooting. Meanwhile, the only way I know of for a non-rooted user to wipe the old battery stats is to do a factory reset. But that means backing up and restoring apps and data.
