Shipping Estimates?

I just chatted with some dude that told me I needed to call an Invalid extension to find out if my phone would actually ship on the original estimate. Better and better. I wouldn't be so sure about that delivery tomorrow if I was you. Not until it was in your hands, of course.
The guy actually told me that I made a pre-order and there was no guarantee that they could make any estimates.

Thanks for the info, but the first customer service rep told you that the item has been shipped; now it is schedule to be shipped? Hmmn...

I'm chatting with a Dell rep right now, and she's saying the shipment has been delayed to Jan 5. I ordered at 8am CST on Dec 1, full price, 16GB, no-contract.

It sounds like you are in the same boat as everyone else. Your venue has not shipped yet, and they don't seem to know anything other than that it is scheduled to be shipped today.

I just called Cs and was told, for the 3rd time today, that they have a manufacturing delay, due to some supplier. I think these guys have been getting hammered with status questions on the Venue pro, and now they are just letting folks believe what they want, to get you off the line.

I hope you get it, though.

None at all, Dell in my eyes is now the most lowdown piece of crap company and I will tell that to everyone I know. This is the worst kind of service that I have ever been subjected to. My order is in production since the 1st and then you give me a date for the next month? I returned my HD7 already and now I am stuck without a phone. Pathetic I swear.

Now I have a guy telling me there are no delays and it would show by now if there were......

well I'm off to send a very nasty email to dell regarding their customer support. I wish I would've recorded the conversation so you could've got a listen to the appalling treatment I have been given to 3 representatives from dell (one from who was a supervisor)

It's bad enough that one support agent says something along the lines of
there is a missing part
even worse when the supervisor says it

Okay that's fine actually if there is a missing part, alright. Cool. But it is a preassembeld phone! When I say what part could be missing from a preassembled device the manager changes story and says you're right oh its because of demand. I said you just lied to me you know that...

Then he said we emailed you about the delay. I said funny what time was the email sent? Oh about an hour ago. I said you're a liar. I am in my email right now. Anytime dell sends me anything, it's been immediate, I've been dealing with dell for the greater part of 10 years (since I was 15) and even when the net and email was in its infancy any dealing with dell regarding cancellation or delay is immediate. I further asked if the order was delayed why isn't it on the order status page?

The supervisor said the order status page takes time to update, about 24 hours to update. I said really? Because when my last dell order was cancelled, the cancellation was immediate. When my items are delayed, it is immediate (or relatively immediate, not some 24 hour crock and bull****)

Then he said the order status page does not reflect changes that quickly. I said according to that page, it is still in production. He said it may not be true and the EDT is not to be taken literally. I said really? Because I'm reading the dell policy website and it says - etc

I said so far, that's 3 lies you have told me and you haven't given me your name, and that is not how a customer service representative is supposed to act. So you've been wrong all across the board, and you still haven't addressed my concern regarding the breakdown in communication between the consumer and the customer service agent and you're a supervisor.

He forwarded me to an idiot. An honest idiot and I say this because he went immediately through the prompt as if my computer had an issue, never told me his name either, and called me mam. I said I am not going to hang up on you, you will either give me your name or you will redirect me. I worked in customer service, if you are forwarded to someone in a chain, the people that forwards you is annotated during the span of the conversation just in case there are some issues that occur. So I have 3 supports agents (apparently 2 supervisors) that have been insulting.

Finally after all that I was given a woman that totally gave me what I was asking for. And gave me all of the names of the people that royally messed up on dell tech support. I have all their names and I am going to be sending dell a very nasty email and reporting this experience to as far as I can go.
