Steve that's not what he meant. There is a bootloader, and a recovery. What he's saying is that the kernel doesn't have to be signed with a proprietary encryption key from Motorola to be able to function. At least that's my interpretation.

Meaning that once you get a recovery, we will be able to compile stuff from source. Meaning 2.2 it's possible before released by Motorola

If it turns out this phone is wide open for hacking, that'll be a sign I should sell my Milestone for a Defy.

Just hit me up if you guys need hosting for your roms. I have 30/30 fiber at home, lots of space (relatively speaking) and I could dial that fiber up to 90/90 if necessary
