Question Change Log

I noticed that HTC Hub on my Orange UK branded HTC 7 Mozart got an update through Marketplace.

You can remove all the Orange stuff though :P Making it stock is one of the main awesome things about WP7!

And nope, flashing other region's stuff won't work.

Hi Optika

Press and hold on the icon in the applications menu and you will see "uninstall" come up. You use the same method that you would to uninstall any application.

Cheers

Talking Can't change the ROM

Hi Optika

It's not clear what you mean but...

At this moment in time, you can't change the actual ROM on the device, only remove software bundled with it by either HTC or Orange.

If you mean the Orange Theme, then you can't remove the "Orange UK" theme from the device as this is hard coded into the Operator's ROM but you can change the colour to any of the other standard WP7 colours (including Orange).

If you're talking about using a non-orange SIM card, I am pretty sure the phone will be network locked to Orange UK. You may be able to get the phone network unlocked. There are both official and unofficial routes to this, which you may or may not have to pay for. You'll need to do your own research into that, which should probably include speaking to Orange themselves.

If you clarify what "still shows Orange in front of any network " means, I am sure people here will help if they can.

Thanks
