I am at work right now. Will be editting the OP more when I get home and will try to add steps for testing if it worked. Until then, if you have access to a foreign sim card (ie at&t) you can pop it in and if it works your golden.

hey grankin01 i am going to give gfree a try. Bec i am on stock 2.2.1 and stock kernal and bootloader is .85 with allready rooted and s -off. So what end result should i see to let me know it worked. Also i have att sim

I ran it using adb and I got an error. I had already set s= Off and had 85 bootloader from your previus guide. Any idea what went wrong or is this how it is supposed to finish.

Unplug the phone from your computer or set it from disk drive to charge only before you run gfree. It needs to be able to access your sdcard to work.

@topgun303, pop in the at&t sim. If it works your golden.

Well thanks for the help it ran without errors and my phone came back up after a reboot, so I think all is good. Thanks for all your hard work grankin01 and thanks to Scotty2. I hope things pick up with the mt4g, I am still using my Nexus1 and deciding whether I am going to keep the mt4g. Thanks again.

Just tested an ATT sim and it worked fine. So it has worked for me.

Quick question guys. Do i place the gfree folder in the C:\android-sdk-windows\tools.... or the 6 indivisual files located inside the gfree folder in the C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
