[Q] Droid X + New Facebook App won't sync contacts or updates.

Please, does anyone know how to bypass this? I had all my contacts synced since the day i got my droid x, since then i notice that my profile pic stayed the same but didnt bother me. I was getting updates from facebook thru my Social Networking app and my facebook contacts were on my regular Contact Book.
Last night I notice that my new facebook friends werent synced, so i started playing around and finally got upsit and deleted all my facebook info and app from my phone. Well to my luck, the new facebook app does NOT have the option to Sync all Facebook contacts and ive tried installing old versions of the apk but to my luck they wont allow me to log in to the facebook app. I get a pipe error or something.(i tried from 1.0 to 1.4)
Now i dont get any updates from facebook nor my facebook contacts show up in my address book.
I dont know if to blame my Droid X or my Facebook App... I just want to fix this frustrating DoS attack. yes, i call it a DoS attack because its the same thing as a Denial of Service. Thank you all.

Try deleting your cache and any facebook data created. I have the new facebook app and am able to sync with it and am able to install an old one and use it so it must have left over data somewhere. I prefer SyncMyPix myself to sync.

Quick fix...installing it over WIFI.
