Default SetCPU

Just installed SetCPU and noticed the clock scaling was set to "conservative"...

I set it to "ondemand" and it crashed.

Interesting.

Also interesting is my home button doesn't work anymore. It happened after I installed 3 apps, but I can't put my thumb on what exactly caused it.

I installed a game called ArchMage, ShootMe (which works pretty well for screenshots btw), and SetCPU.

EDIT: After a Reboot, everything seems to be running fine. I did notice the stock kernel only has three clock steps, 300, 600, and 800.

Did it complain about whether or not you had root, and what Phone/CPU choice did you select for it?

SuperUser worked fine on initial launch so it has full root.

I used the autodetect setting.

One thing I did notice is the bogoMIPS measured by linux is 796 on the NC, while it's 738 on my Nexus One.

FYI, you can take screenshots by holding down N and pressing Vol Down... The files are saved to the media/my files/screenshots folder IIRC

When I ran SetCPU it did not detect root and gave me a "read only" mode.

Have you correctly installed Superuser and rebooted the nook?

I know... but you can change the default governor from "conservative" to "on demand" with 600mhz as minimum to get a significant performance boost with minimal battery impact. My NC has been on for 5 hours today so far and batter is at 62%. Played several games and spent a lot of time browsing the web.

Haha, I thought this was a pun.

Like when you press the "n" button with your thumb.
