• Latest Apps Included: Flash, Facebook, Maps, Youtube, Market, Fanct Widget,ES File Explorer, Twitter Included In System Apps
• Included wallpapers in AMLauncher => Images taken from google Please dont sue me :P
• Aosp Lockscreen Not Included => Buggy at present
• I9000 startup and shutdown animations
• Android Setup Wizard (Sign up and you get apps & settings restored automatically!)
• Recovery Redirective Include only via adb reboot recovery (reboot not included in menu) => Later
• GPS locks with 2 to 3 m accuracy
• Customization Given In Post 2

How to flash a ROM

Step 1:

Identify Which Rom version are u running. from setting -> about.

• for 2.1 DI18 ota goto steps 2 to 11
• for 2.2 DK17 ota goto steps 2 to 11 -> skip 6 if ur gps is working
• for 2.2 DK28 ota goto steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11

STEP 2:

Rooting your Phone
Download -> http://firon.net/xda/one.click.root.exploitv2.5.5.zip 7.2MB

STEP 3:

• Goto Settings menu on Your phone
• Goto Application
• Goto Development
• Tick Usb debugging

STEP 4:

Connect your phone to computer/laptop


if u need drivers ->

STEP 5:

Extract step 2 downloaded .zip

Windows Users
run file run.bat
and follow instructions

Linux users
open terminal
do chmod +x run.sh
now run run.sh
and follow instructions

Now u have rooted

STEP 6:

if u want to fix GPS check that out

STEP 7:

Download -> http://k0nane.info/rom/dk28-odin-modem.zip

STEP 8:

Turnoff your phone
Now while holding 1 key on keyboard power it on
-> u will enter Download mode

-> extract zip to desktop
-> start odin
-> connect ur phone (note always connect ur phone after u start odin)
-> u will see -> 1st empty box showing com 4 in yellow (note number can vary)

-> now in pit select pit file and on PDA select modem.tar
-> click start (let it complete)
-> phone will reboot.

STEP 9:

Copy the desired ROm in root of ur sdcard

STEP 10:

Turnoff your device
now while volumedown + camerabutton + powerbutton
u will see recovery with green font.

NOTE: to navigate in recovery u can use -> volumeup and volume down key or u can use up and down key of keyboard
to select in recovery u can use -> camera key or u can use enter key
to go back u can use -> go back last option on menu or powerkey or touch back button.

STEP 11:

If u want to take backup of ur current system
-> goto 6th option backup and restore setlect it
-> select backup let it perform backup.

Before flashing rom u need to clear data in order to avoid clashes
-> Goto 3rd option Wipe data/factory reset select it
-> select yes

flashing rom
-> goto 5th option install zip from sdcard select it
-> select 2nd option choose zip from sdcard
-> select ur zip file and select yes

flashing no wipe update
no wipe update are to be installed as addon u dont need to wipe ur system to install that
-> goto 5th option install zip from sdcard select it
-> select 2nd option choose zip from sdcard
-> select ur zip file and select yes

If u want to go back to restore of ur backup
-> goto 6th option backup and restore setlect it
-> select restore select the proper data version u wanna restore and let it perfrom.

Now u can reboot to system 1st option in recovery 1st page
let the system boot up do stepup and enjoy

Were you able to resolve the bug with the AOSP lockscreen where the Samsung lockscreen with show up at times when unlocking the phone while you have an unread text message?

I'm on a custom 2.1 rom at the moment and before flashing this do I need to flash stock 2.2 rom using odin?
