[Q] crashy crashy?

Ive had my Omnia 7 (8gig, Three network) for over a week now, and while I like the phone and want to keep it, I feel like returning it and asking for another. (another omnia 7)

The reason for this is that it seems to crash a lot! Numerous third party apps and even occasionally the first party hubs seem to randomly crash, refuse to load or freeze/hang the phone. Sometimes I can use it for a whole day with no problems, but occasionally i can use it for 15-30 minutes and have numerous apps refuse to load or crash and maybe even freeze the phone, making it totally unresponsive and forcing me to restart the phone 2 or 3 times!

The most common main culprits are ebay, yellow pages, remotely possible, poynt, imdb, fantasia painter, train travel, xbox live extras, marketplace. But almost every app ive downloaded (aswell as zune, messaging and hotmail) has bugged out at some point

It seems totally random as like ive said above sometimes everything just works perfectly and other times it throws a wobbler. I'm left wondering if this is just because its an immature OS and it'll get better with updates or ive just got a dodgy handset and should get a replacement.


Which leads me to ask you all a question:

How often does an app on your Omnia 7 crash, freeze or reset your phone?

This is weird. Could it be bad memory? I have an Omnia since 8-9 days, and it's been perfect, practically. Just felt something was amiss with Zune yesterday, briefly, but haven't had any other problem. Of course, I don't have that many apps installed -- and haven't tried out eBay/imdb/poynt etc...

Maybe, you could try a hard reset?

Mine is working fine, try a hard reset. If the hard reset doesn't help, i would demand a replacement.

Had zero crashes on my Omnis after 3 weeks of constant use. Only bug I have is in internet explorer sometimes not scrolling down until 2nd try. I would guess it is one of the 3rd party apps causing your problems.

Mine sometimes crashed in Marketplace or Zune. When I tried to open one of those I got a couple of loading dots but the app didn't launch.

I only got my Omnia for a couple of days - I hope that this will not happen often...

ok im definately gonna do what i can to exchange it for a new one now. twice in a row it broke while just trying to send a text message.

The first time it froze and needed restarting, the second time the screen went dim and the touchscreen stopped working until i restarted it
