[Q] Dell Streak 2.2 rooted?

I tried to root my Streak with Android 2.2 using previous patches. The result was a locked phone that didn't want to start anymore. So eventually I completely restored it and it's working again.

Has anyone managed to successfully root Android 2.2 on the Streak? If so, please let me know.

Z4root from the market is working fine. Try that.

Had to download it manually though as I couldn't find it on the market.

The dev had to put it back up a few days ago too, apparently google doesn't like his app.

z4root version 1.3.0 doesn't seem to work for my streak... are there any other options?
(universal androot doesn't work either)

I tried z4root and universal androot and both of those did not with for me on 2.2. Looking for another option as well.

Has this worked for you? From what Ive picked up this doesnt work on 2.2

Superoneclick is confirmed working on dell streak froyo. Just rooted a few hours ago. Just remember if youre using xp to install .NET fromework 2.0+
