Default Wireless sync error

Since a few days i noticed wireless sync would not start when the phone is connected to the power adapter.

When I try to set up wireless sync with zune, it recognizes that my phone is connected with my home network. If I click on next, zune is trying to setup but after a few seconds I get this error in zune: 8007042c

I tried to search on google for solutions, there are some people that had the same problem with their zune hd. But none of those tips worked for my phone.
It worked fine for a month or two. Is there anyone else with problems when using wireless sync.

Connect the phone to your computer, disable and enable wireless sync.

This fixed it for me.

I can confirm this is one possible solution - I have McAfee Firewall Protection, and even though Zune has full "allowed" status, when firewall is turned on wireless sync does not work; disabling the firewall allows sync.

There must a protocol / port or something else being blocked by McAfee, but despite searching I can't figure out what it is!!!

If you have McAfee installed I think you may have found the cause, or at least a problem. No offense to McAfee but I'd say that you're better off with MS Security Essentials and any other free firewall (I recommend COMODO, but Windows Firewall is enough for most people anyway).

I use McAfee on my Windows 7 machine and have no issues with the wireless sync on either of my WP7 phones. I never did anything special with McAfee to get it to work. It just did and has throughout all the various uninstalls and installs of Zune.
