wifi router/internet sharing?

Well i am really interested in moving into a WP7 phone. (I like the HD7.) Unfortunately for me I can't seem to find any info on tethering or internet sharing of any sort.
that is a deal breaker for me... the most important feature of my phone to me is the ability to use the internet connection on my laptop. ( I prefer the wifi router ability... seems faster to me)
I am just interested to find out if there is or may be any hope of this type of app for WP7. If this is not possible for any reason, i would also like to know so I can decide not to go that direction on my next phone.

On my samsung focus the codes to enable tethering are posted everywhere.. by default its not enabled on devices, but it is something you can do on several phones. US carriers generally frown on tethering
