JK6 was crap for me here in El Paso, TX. The connection was so bad (kept dropping 3G) that I didn't keep it long enough to see if there was any effect on battery life. The JL5 has been the best for me so far, but I just flashed the JL4 a while ago and will try and report on that tomorrow. So far, it seems pretty good. Initial speed tests seem on par with or slightly better than the JL5 I have been running. I can milk a battery in half a day (heavy usage) so we will have to see how it goes.

Well the day is half over and the JL4 is doing slightly worse than the JL5. I have been replicating the tasks and rough times I've run each application to pretty much the same as yesterday. Data sends to be just a hair different (slower) than the JL5. I will repost an update later tonight.

Yep. I would agree. It is now 600 pm and Ooo am down to 20%. Just slightly worse than the JL5 modem was for me here in El Paso. Given my unscientific evaluation, I would say that the battery life is just about identical. Signal is about the same as the JL5, maybe slightly worse, but hardly noticeable like the JK6 was. I will be switching back to the JL5 for now and waiting for my 1800mAh eBay battery to arrive. $10, can't beat that.
