Can I still update to Gingerbread after I installed a custom Rom?

I think that community will bring Ginger earlier than LG, I guess.

I believe on that one, too. I don't know about LG, but Samsung had a hard time updating 2.1 Eclair to 2.2 Froyo. Hopefully LG brings Ginger much sooner.. Getting excited about this LOL.

If you need it, you can always restore the original rom with kdz updater.

Refer to this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875881

It is a guide to reverting to the original firmware. Tried and tested.

After restoring you can use LG Software update program
http://www.lg.com/uk/support/mc-supp...ne-support.jsp

But it's always best to restore to an Gigerbread custom ROM directly

Official sucks

On twitter Lg_Italia said that updates to Gingerbread would be released soon =)
And to have a look at lg support website for that update xD
Anyway I think you don't even need original fw to update OTA or via Mobile Updater.
