oh yeah wow....never thought to use the zip to install individual modules thought ya had to install entire ROM...after peeking thru the zip file i see exactly how install works and see how it can be used to install small pieces of shebang ALONG WITH installing entire systems...

thanks for the reply...ready to flash some new modems looks like almost 90% of xda user think UGJL2 is the top modem these days...im gonna give it a try the actual speeds of the stock modem in Continuum 1.2 GT are far below the posted numbers of UGJL2...

it remains to be seen of they work in my area....again thanks...

Does KP1 default to 850 or 1900?

I believe it was set to 1900 initially when I flashed Andromeda, which uses KP1.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App

ZNKP1 is my favorite modem so far..Samsung sucks making software. After, trying so many modems ZNKP1 seems to perform ok. My area has UMT 1900, 850 and GSM 850 and 1900 ATT. During peak hours my phone needs to fallback to GSM before dropping the call. None of the modems I have used so far was able to perform the handover without dropping the call in a congested area.

Samsung modems are too aggressive and do not handover the call on time.

Going from a 3g to a 2g area it works fine.

Big improvement in internet speed and GPS lock time over JK4
