Default Custom Rom for Huawei Ascend M860

-Update-

An Ascend has been sent out to koush the clockworkmod developer. So if everything goes well, very shortly we'll have the clockworkmod, which will no doubt lead to a custom rom and many other mods.

Default Any Luck on Dev of 2.2 for Ascend:

Any Progress on the ROM 2.2 froyo.

I own the Ascend i just picked it up like few days ago already restored it to factory today for messing stuff up glad they recovery File I downloaded that takes it back to factory.

The Company claims they going to have Release 2.2 In Janruary but I don't know if that true or not as 2.3 Gingerbread out already for most new phones I don't see why this handset received Older Software.

I can verify that clockwork can be put on the ascend via Rom Manager. Just finished doing so on one.

Mine works but only through the amon ra recovery. Are you sure you are using clockworks recovery?
If so what version recovery and what version of rom manager?

In rom manager for me it says 3.0.0.5 and when I reboot the phone into recovery and the screen loads like the resolution is too high and restarts normally. 3.0.0.4 is the same way. I have found though that manually installing 2.5.1.8 works just fine.
