[Q] New Market and Search function

I try and search from the new market and it goes into searching the internet instead of the market. Any ideas on a fix for this? Thanks.

FIXED: APK I used was for Froyo and not Eclair. Reflashed with eclair based market, search is fixed.

Attaching a copy of what mine looks like. If it doesn't look like this, you've got something messed up on your build. Use the Menu softkey, and not the magnifying glass icon on the top right, which is not really in a usable area of the screen.

Looks nothing like yours. It is the actual search screen from the Nook build. I will flash 2.2.6 and see if that works. more to follow.....

Just rooted a Nook Touch and got Android Market to work. Having exactly the same problem with the stock Nook search taking over when hitting the search button in Market. Any suggestion?
