Default [Q] d2g processor?

hi everyone at these great XDA forums i have a quick question, what processor does the d2g have? ive seen several reports say that its a TI OMAP 3630 and other reports saying that its a 3640, and frankly i have no idea which it is.

On a similar note, whats the real difference between the 3630 and the 3040? ive read that the 3630 handles memory better than the 3640, i dont know if theres a way to tell, and i dont know if theres anything else that is different between the two processors.

TI OMAP3630-1200

not sure exactly this is what the wiki has for them:
# OMAP3640 - 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX530 GPU + 430 MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)+IVA 2+ hardware accelerator
# OMAP3630 - 720 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX530 GPU + 430 MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)+IVA 2+ hardware accelerator

So it almost looks identical but the one used in the D2G is the 3630-1200 meaning it's stock clocked @ 1200Mhz (1.2Ghz) so I'm not sure what's ticking different on the inside.

I was actually told the D2G has the same cpu as the DX and M2 and not the D2. The different actually being D2 doesn't have 720 video recording ability, unlike the DX and M2, which have it possibly because of the cpu.

I can tell you the D2G does not have the ability to record in 720p or for now. We can only record in 420p.

I would love to see someone modify the video camera app to allow us to use 720p but I also think we may be limited by the camera sensor.

Milestone 2, which essentially is Droid 2 hardware wise with a GSM radio can do 720P. CPU is weaker than the one on D2G (3630-1000 on the MS2 vs 3630-1200 on the D2G). Camera sensor is the same on both. 5MP sensor is more than enough resolution wise not only for 720p but even for 1080p. I guess we will see some hacks in the future regarding 720p recording on D2G. Give it some time. I won't be surprised even if Motorola makes it official with some of the next updates. But, honestly, 720p video on most phones today sucks enough not to be worth it anyways. Doubt MS2 (eventually D2G) will be any better.

i believe its the camera sensor itself that doesnt support 720p, being the same sensor as in the droid og and all
