Help!! Speaker is Making a constant Noise

Hi all,

My speaker is making a constant quiet high pitched noise, any idea? Ive rebooted the phone to an avail

What firmware are you using?

If you use CyanogenMod beta than this is a known issue.

Firmware is 2.2.1
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 Root@Sep-60#1
Build: Darky's v7.0

Its bloody annoying

I would suggest reflasgin a new firmware/rom

I just went from Darky version 6 to 7 and still the same issue, ive also changed the kernel....

its more a crackling noise than anything....

Flash a stock rom, go back all the way to eclair if necessary and see if the problem is still there.

ive just factory reseted the phone and the noise and gone...... Software related then... :(

Ignore that, its still happening, will swap the phone out me thinks
