Default [ROM]PORT-DARK GLOSS MOD ported to the MESMERIZE!!!

Here is my second X-MAS GIFT to you all why stop at one since I've been working hard.....

This is based on the DARK GLOSS MOD THEME from the Fascinate and has been PORTED to the MESMERIZE.. THANK YOU TO THE ORIG. DEV OF THAT ROM THATDUDEBUTCH and MERRY X-MAS to you all enjoy.....PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS and FEEDBACK on any issues as it has been built on JT's CLEAN ROM and is without kernel and has been tested with NO issues to report...

IMPORTANT>12/24: MAY BE AN ISSUE GOING FROM PICK-N-PACK TO THESE I WILL SEE FOR NOW FLASH CLEAN 2 AND THEN VOODOO IF YOU ARE RUNNING VOODOO AND REBOOT THEN FLASH THIS AS IT IS BUILT OFF OF THE CLEAN ROM>>>IF YOU ARE NONVOODOO AND PICK-N-PACK JUST FLASH CLEAN 2 AND REBOOT AND THEN FLASH THIS AS I KNOW THIS WORKS AND FIRST BOOT TAKES A MIN. BE PATIENT HANGS FOR A MIN OR MORE MAKE SURE YOU REBOOT BETWEEN FLASHES....IF YOU ARE VOODOO YOU HAVE TO FLASH KERNEL OVER TOP OF CLEAN 2 BECAUSE THAT ONE HAS A NONVOODOO IN IT AND WILL MESS WITH YA IF YOU DONT YOU CAN DO THOSE 2 AT SAME TIME JUST DO THE KERNEL LAST AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO DISABLE LAG FIX AND YOU WILL BE FINE THAT WAY....THIS IS ONLY IF YOU ARE PICK-N-PACK THAT THIS APPLIES FOR NOW TO BE SAFE... Update:12/25... Everything is okay with the pick and pack rom But everything still applies about flashing a nonvoodoo kernel over a voodoo kernel as it always will..Thanks

INSTALL NOTE:PUT ON SD AND FLASH THRU CLOCKWORK-MOD RECOVERY NOT ROM MANAGER and as always DO A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST...This has the wire mesh drop down I love so much

SEEN HERE:

I hope you all enjoy it .....THANK YOU ALL.

P.S. A Note From The Creator and ME

IMPORTANT WARNING: Although it is nearly impossible to truly mess up your phone beyond simple repair, I must make this statement public for obvious reasons: I will NOT be held responsible for any data loss or phone damage of any kind due to the installation of this theme. It is your own personal decision to install any file I provide. Truthfully, over the past few months I have had almost every single issue happen to my phone and would be more than happy to assist you if you encounter any problems. I am a nice guy and will try my best to help you problem-solve... but yea, don't blame me if you break your device.

ENJOY AND MERRY X-MAS ANDROIDMAN78...and remember to GIVE thanks today.

After a check and a recheck, this will work just fine with the Pick-n-Pack ROM. Originally when I thought I tried flashing this, I was actually flashing the DJ05 Fascinate files that I had downloaded. It pays to watch what you are doing. I didn't realize that I had already downloaded it looking to start a port myself.

Again, all works well with the Pick-n-Pack. Well, all except the mms.apk, but this has nothing to do with the ROM. AOSP mms.apk has an issue on the Mesmerize that jt is still looking in to, trying to find out why picture messaging isn't 100% functional.

Could I take the mms.apk out of the pick-n-pack rom (as it's working for me) and replace it with the mms.apk in this ROM?

We've tried this in the past and didn't have luck with that, but I cannot say for sure with this one. I know that I did try just installing the stock mms.apk over the aosp version and it didn't work. It's worth a try, though.

Default Battery life?

Noob warning ! This is my 2nd rom (Dark Gloss/voodoo) and I think I'm not getting as good battery life as my 1st (Pick a Pack/voodoo). It is better than Pick a pack without voodoo. I think power configuration is the same.

Should I re-flash? Can I enable & disable Lag-fix in the recovery menu correctly?
Lastly can a backup made without Lag-fix enabled be restored to a Lag-fix enable phone? and of course any ideas about the battery issue? Thanx,Scott

I re-flashed back to pick n pack/voodoo, battery noticeably better now. Don't know why.
Figured out the recovery lag-fix options (default) duh!

Still wondering about backups and restores, but I guess I'll only use lag-fix backups on lag-fixed hardware, and regular backups on regular HW.
