what am i doing wrong

I have a standard HTC HD2 I want to flash.I am upto date with the official updates.Everytime I try to flash with a custom rom I follow the rom loader instructions but I keep getting a error. This is Error 262 communications error. Dont understand whats going on or what I am doing wrong.

Any help would be great.

2. If you are up To Date with your Rom also up to 3.14 Rom then HSPL won't work.

In this Case you need GoldCard.

communications error....

usual hints are...
put phone into bootloader yourself before you start. connect usb and only then run your flash.

when it first times out, don't touch phone just rerun the flash.

try different usb ports.
always mention in your posts if using 64bit win.
