Thanks for the tips. I don't really need them, I need 10 posts, so that I can post where it's relevant to what I need. The 10 posts to post in development rule is a catch-22. If you have it, new members (who aren't complete idiots) have either waste time trying to find 10 relevant things to post on or spam thank you on anything out there. However without it, dev boards would get swamped with posts by people who can't read. Sorry for the rant everybody.

Running CM7,0.3. Tried to replace the YouTube app with the one listed on the AutoNooter thread. I changed the file location and permissions then rebooted. It would not load that version. I appreciate any help you can provide.

EDIT: FOUND IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF CHANGING BROWSER SETTINGS TO LINUX.

I'm having that problem too! I want to ask questions on the DEV boards but can't until I post more, but don't want to overload the boards with useless posts!

Maybe I can ask if Root Explorer and ES File Explorer do the same thing?

Why so adamant about posting support questions in the Development forum? Isn't the intent to separate these types of questions from actual development discussion?

Well Bob, I had a question about the use of root explorer and didn't think this was the appropriate place for that question since it has to do with a particular thread on the devs forum.

Yeah, I get it. One can read (and comprehend) and even have insight, but we still have to honor those who have worked so hard to generate the ROMs, kernels, usw...

Level up, man...

For this part
"Go back in Root Explorer, and in system/app, mount as r-w and rename Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk to anything else (adding .bak onto the end would be fine)."

When I renamed the Phone.apk, a pop up box came up saying something along the lines of this has stopped working (can't remember) and asked me to force close, hit the button and just kept giving me the message. I had to reboot real fast and I don't get that message now but was wondering if I did something wrong and will that affect anything or is it normal?

I have the same question as the poster above. Is Root Explorer interchangeable with ES Explorer or is there any particular reason for using it in these workarounds?
