I've had a lot of people ask me which firmware versions include the fixed secondary bootloader which allows the phone to register itself with OS X when in download mode. Obviously if the fixed secondary bootloader isn't on a device then Heimdall (OS X version) won't be able to detect the device.

As such I've decided to create a listing of firmware versions that include the fixed Sbl.bin. Note that I won't be including links, I'll just be naming firmware versions.

If you have a Galaxy S setup that is detected in OS X, that is not already on the list. Then please submit the name of the firmware and the type of phone (from the following list).

I should have been more clear. Is there a way to read the version or build date on my phone?

Here are the Sbl.bin and boot.bin that have been included in I9000XXJPU firmware, I have flashed the firmware in both Odin and Heimdall and can confirm that it does not disable download mode.

There are two different versions of IBL+PBL out there.
While both of them are good the old IBL+PBL seems to be incompatible with newer SBL versions.

The new IBL+PBL was used for the first time in JM1 level S/W versions.

MD5 hash for the old version is 2FA54AC1926E6D371947C46B05CD6FE7 and 445491B1AEC42FE35F3A2505C4E74295 for the new version (raw images, not dumps).

With the SBL it is a bit more complicated since there is atleast ten different versions for I9000 alone. Only two of these are rotten (-> 3-button, key press wake function disabled).
