Found this whilst scanning through the nookcolor androidtablets forum.
I take no credit for this as it was first posted on the androidtablets forum by rytyshy so all thanks should be directed towards him.

Anyway now to the point you guys should take a look at the overdrive media console app (look it up in the market) it basically let's you connect with your local library (works in multiple countries) and rent out ebooks and audiobooks just like you would from a REAL library... if you know what i mean, and download them to your nook

Sorry if this has already been posted, but i couldn't find it in search.

Just checked this out, pretty sweet. There are tons of libraries near me so this is is nice to have. However, you have to be a member of the library to rent any books. I can honestly say I'm not a member of my city's library because I use the one at my University.
