Default [Q] Froyo / Gingerbread possible?

Hi is this handset locked down similar to Motorola Milestone so custom ROMs are not possible? or is it hackable like the Motorola Droid.

DONATE TO ME
Hi,
it does not look that good for the Defy, our only hope ist 2nd Stage Booting of a Custom Kernel ROM.
Or Motorola releases the Keys for their Bootloader (they never will).

Also theres a Official Release of Froyo at Q2 in 2011

Regards

You know what makes me laugh? People think they will skip 2.2 for 2.3, lololol, yeah it will be a LONG time before we get gingerbread unless some programmer gets lucky.

Well its a good thing I asked on here. I will stay away from this handset. It is well priced for the hardware and was tempting. Looks like HTC and Samsung are the way to go for hackability. Galaxy S line and Desire already have 3rd party gingerbread ports.
