Update and Root? doesn't work together.

If you need root, stay with 2.1 and wait for the custom roms.

If you're already familiar with flashing custom roms & kernels on your EVO, look over in the Development forum here, and you'll find a fairly easy way to get root with the .71 update. They also have overclock-capable kernels, and instructions on how to move the system over to a microsdhc card to get a more-complete root. I'm still hoping we can get it completely opened for non-sde custom roms, but at this point I'll take what I can get, lol.
