Default Evo on verizon towers hack?

Anyone have a link to the guide that shows you how to put verizon PRLs on Evo to use verizon towers?

my co-worker did it once on my phone, but when my phone was replaced, it took me till last night to get it rooted again.

It was a flash this and when u are ready dial a number and you get a "welcome to Verizon" or something like that. Not sure.

Thanks guys.

Well, you can use the App Roam Control. Or there is a post about how to do this in the Dev section. Just simply use the "Search" bar.
If someone has posted something that was helpful to you, show a little gratitude by using the "Thanks" button.

Big Thanks to Product F(RED) for the Sig!

i have heard about this roam control, but haven't investigated it, we used something else earlier.

I try to use the search bar, but i get so much crap results it sucks to sift through, so i figured i could post and wait for someone to see it and say, "oh yeah, that's over here:..." I even tried to search "verizon" but i get tons of themes and roms and stuff that are no way related to Verizon. XDAs one downfall.

XDA is in no way shape or form a downfall. You're nuts man. You are talking about one of the most generous forum communities that have made countless contributions.

And to answer your question,(and to prove that this community is not on a "downfall',)

+1 For the LMGTFY!

And OP, I just searched for this and found it in about 20 seconds. XDA does not have a downfall. The common downfall of America is LAZYNESS! You even said you didn't want to sift through things.

Sorry for the rant, but this is why a lot of people get flamed on here.

that does help. i did not know about tecknowfile. The search i was referring to was the "search this forum" within XDA. I love XDA, the people here are the best, the leaders in android development, the nicest and most quick to help group on any kind of forum i have ever found. I am sorry for sounding like i was insulting XDA, i just meant i have trouble with their "search this forum" search and don't get the best results, probably due to bad tags or off topic responses within those threads.

Sorry for the negativity and thank you for your help.

From what I understand Roam Control will only force you into 1x, not so much 3G... so if you're looking to replace crappy data speeds you're out of luck there. I've been too wimpy to try the PRL hack though.

roam control is great but limited, it can force your connection to roaming but it won't connect to verizon the same way as the prl hack, I've tested it. the prl hack is far faster speeds, with roam control I would get 15~100kpbs, with prl hack I would get 600~2000kbps in the same spot

How much data did you push? What really makes me paranoid about the PRL hack is the amount of data I may push if I switch over. I push 5-6 GB a month, and it seems like that would set off red flags all over Sprint HQ, haha.

I read up on this just recently and decided to go with Roam Control instead of the PRL hack. The PRL hack is tedious to activate/deactivate, and I only need it while I'm at work (signal is fine everywhere else).

For me, the limited speeds of Roam Control was worth the convenience of one click activate/deactivate.
