Default Update swype?

So I was wondering about updating swype because I read somewhere it got better. How can I update swype to the latest version?

You can't...at least not on stock ROM. Using a custom ROM it should in theory just be as easy as deleting the existing version and installing the latest beta.

TBH though I haven't had any issues with the stock version of Swype that comes preinstalled.

You need to apply for the Swype beta and once you you get accepted, you'll need to uncheck the swype in settings>language and keyboards and delete the Swype.apk from /system/app and libSwypeCore.so in /system/lib (Make sure you have an alternate keyboard or use the hardware keyboard.) Reboot, install the swype apk from beta.swype.com and then run that and use it to run the install wizard. Should be pretty easy.

What paul Said. after you install the beta.swype.com apk then you can delete it and from then on, you can actually go into the swype settings and update it that way instead of having to use swypes 3rd party apk. If that makes any sense.

I'm currently on version 3.26.92.37604

They changed from blue to orange.

DONATE TO ME
Or you could delete your old swype and download a themed swype that is in the apps section of the epic 4g forums. I installed a dark blue to match my shake n bake theme and it looks awesome.
