[Q] Overseas sales on droid 2 global?

I live in Vietnam currently and want to get that phone. Unfortunately the tax in this country for something imported (shipped) from the USA is ridiculous (50%). Does anyone know if they sell this in Bangkok or elsewhere in SE Asia?

you can try the Milestone 2 as it is a similar phone to the Droid 2 Global without the CDMA radio in it. So if you want a Droid but are only going to use it on GSM mode you can get a European Milestone 2 and still have the similar hardware as a Droid 2.

I am sure CPU can be overclocked to match the 1.2GHz of the D2G. As newk8600 suggested, I am also suggesting you to consider MS2.
D2G, for now, is only worth in countries where WCDMA 850/1900 is required, as current MS2 model is Euro/Asia only (900/2100 WCDMA)

True about M2 but I plan to return to America in about a year and then the 900/2100 wont work there for 3G. Dam the US carriers for not following international standards

You can try Canada or send it to a friend in a different country nearby and get it from ur friend by shipiing or while on vacation.
