Default [Q] Magnetic Case Issues?

Has anyone used a case that has the magnetic closure? Any problems?

I've read where it may cause problems, due to it activating the Car Docker, and therefore draining battery. I've also read the contrary, that it causes it no problems.

Before I shell the money for a case, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced any issues.

Thanks!

- JB

My case has a magnetic flap enclose. It's a pretty strong one too.... When I close it it sounds like a snap closing. I've had no problems with it at all. In fact it's been unplugged since 6 this morning and the battery right now is at 82%

Cool! Thanks for the heads up ... what type of case?

I'm considering getting a Naztech Gladiator II .... pretty heavy duty, adjustable size ( I've got an extended battery ) and it looks pretty sweet.

That looks pretty similar to mine but mine is made by rugged. It's pretty heavy duty, but it's not adjustable... not sure if it would accommodate the extended battery, but I'm also not sure how much thicker that battery makes it.

I've been using those kind of cases off and on for the past year and never had any kind of issue. I'm currently using the $20 one from Sams Club. I bought it so long ago I can't remember if it even had a name, but it works without issue.

Cool ... thanks for the input. I'd prefer an actual hard case i could snap around the entire phone, but no such luck.

the eris does not have a car dock feature activated by a magnet like some other androids do. hence, no problem with magnetic case. have fun and good luck finding your case :)
