[Q] Downloads App

I have asked this question before, but no one really replied on it, so hopefully it'll get more responses in the Q&A section.

So my question is: has anyone been able to port over or recreate the downloads app from gingerbread? Being one who downloads a lot, it'd be helpful for having an app that keeps track of all of them.
