Default Porting Archos video.apk

I'm hoping there aren't any other threads of this nature. I have been banging my head against a wall here trying to get the video.apk and the archos frameworks to make this work on my evo. Any help would be appreciated.

I've seen it mentioned before that the archos video is quite hardware dependant. Even if you got the program working on the evo, it would not function as nicely as it does on the archos.

I believe it would take alot of work to port this over. Rockplayer in the market is a good alternative. Just use the software decoding option instead of the hardware. The demo is full functional if you want to try it out. I believe vplayer is another alternative.
I do admit both are not as polished as the archos and the archos media widget.

The Archos videoplayer directly calls upon the SDP to decode, IF you manage to port it your chip would need an SDP (I don't know if an Evo has one). IF you have an SDP it would probably need to be the same as the one we have in our devices.

It'd probably be less work to start from scratch than to port it over.

As mentioned below a good alternative is Vplayer though it's still in beta.

Not all devices. Note 10.1 isn't.
