[Q] Having strange issues with A70 250gb battery

I have had the Archos 70 250gb since Christmas now. A few days ago, I noticed an issue with my battery. I will be using my device as normal, with the power governor set to overdrive and the battery life indicator saying 60+ charge. A banner saying "device has no power, powering off" (or something very similar) pops up, the battery life indicator turns red, and the device powers itself off. When the device finishes powering down, I press the power button to turn it back on, and the device powers on with no issue, showing the 60+ battery charge.

This issue has happened twice now, and I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues? I have been contemplating do the SDE root for my device, but if this issue turns out to be a faulty battery, I don't want to be stuck with a battery dead device with a voided warranty.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, I have the same issue with my 70IT 250GB. Haven't been able to figure out the specific trigger(s) that make it do as described though.
