SIM not working after upgrade

For some reason, my SIM is not getting picked after upgrading to CM7.

If I put a Virgin Mobile SIM it has the bars greyed out with a small cross on it, When I try a different SIM it is the same issue but it has a symbol of a SIM Card with an exclamation mark inside it?

Is this a problem with my radio?
I am on 2.1.71 Baseband?

When I am go into *#*#INFO#*#*
I have WCDMA preferred

Should I have a different baseband radio for Australia??

Mod: CyanogenMod-7.1.0-es209ra-KANG
Build: 3.0.1.G.0.75
Kernel Bersion: 2.6.29-FXP SEMCUser@SEMCHost#1
Android Version: 2.3.7
Baseband Version: 2.1.71

I also unlocked my phone a while back on the stock Xperia ROM, so that shouldn't be it??? I have also tested the SIM on a stock Galaxy Tab(Telstra) and that works.

Any HELP would be awesome. I am dying without a phone right now

The last two days on FXP030 my pbone has frozzen a few times requiring the bat to be pulled, done a clean install this morning froze once already.

If you do not see the Sony ericcson logo when the phone is turned on, you have an unlocked bootloader. But you have a choice of two different batch files to unlock the bootloader depending what how/ if your phone was sim locked, if you use the wrong one, you loose radio. You can just use the correct batch file to get your signal back.

When the phone is turned on , I see the Free Xperia Project First and then the Cyanogen Mod 7 screen?

No Sony Ericcson logo, is that the issue?

I had that prob with fxp030. But the problem went with fxp041. Try also lowering your processor speed, and looking at the governor settings.

I'm on fxp041 and have problems with wlod when I try and watch a video file. Last night I lowered the processor speed to 806 MHz from 998 MHz and the wlod rebooting went. Might be related to your rebooting.

No, that's correct if you've successfully unlocked it. Might just be worth double checking you used the correct batch file. Either semc or setool I think. Try going to the unlock bootloader forum and search for radio problems.

Might not be the issue, just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

Thanks Ive put cpu to stock speed still the same, cant use 041, stange only comment from FXP team was to say a post which was working was well laid out, looks like they are not looking or commenting on the problem most of us are having.

FXP team please let us know if you are working on this problem, and status please.

we are working on many problems
and for now we try to isolate the problem but most not working posts are useless

users did not specify shipped rom versio/kernel/fxp rom used and if they wiped data or not / flashed gapps or not

unless we get some detailed info will be hard to replicate the problem

Hi FXP,

- Clean install of FXP41

factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache

included kernel flashed with flashtool

flashed fxp41 rom with cmw 5
flashed included gapps

reboot

skip google account login because want it WIFI

install settings wifi.
get connection, but after 10 minutes wifi, data, 3g freezes
wenn that happens the sync symbol is rotating in the notification bar and can only be stopped by crashing the system server. After the crash you can work for a short time till that f***king sync symbol freezes the whole phone.
If you push the flightmode ON and OFF you also generate a crash.

FXP i hope this is clear.

PS. This problem was also happening in ROM FXP30b

Flashed included kernel
Full wipe
Installed fxp41 and gapps

Rom felt very fast and smooth.
Problem finding go launcher in market (don't use it tho)
Video records with low fps
Playback low fps/choppy
Data stopped working after 10-15 mins and I couldn't dl/ul (although the arrows in status bar stayed lit)

Installed stock 2.3 and rooted.
flashed included kernel/full wipe/installed fxp41 and gapps
Same outcome.
When data stopped i left browser loading for 45 mins but never loaded.

For me the data always stops after market updates to newest version but others have said they have had the newest market for 1/2 hour before data stops so maybe just a coincidence for me that data always stops working after newest market version is updated.
