Default Widgets etc

I was thinking of getting a Nexus S but want to check something with those that know more about this than I. I have a bunch of HTC sense widgets in .apk (extracted via Titanium Backup) that I like. I have so far assumed that all I need do is buy the Nexus S and then transfer the .apk's and install them from there (calendar, clock etc). Is this actually posible or have I taken an overly simplistic view of this?

Perhaps there are dependancies I am not aware of etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You cant run HTC widgets ... as simple as that.

Try to find alternatives.

Well that sucks. >.<

I wonder why that is. Also, does that mean I can only installed widgets that have been specifically developed with the Nexus S in mind?

Because HTC widgets rely on the Sense UI frameworks to work. The Nexus S doesn't have them.

Same story for the Galaxy S line of widgets that rely on the TouchWiz frameworks.
Wiping battery stats has the same influence over battery life as waving a dead chicken over your phone does; none, per Google.
If your sig takes up more screen real estate than most of your posts, maybe you should trim it a bit...
