It's extremely easy to root Froyo and 2.51 rom. Have a try!（Windows only）

Plug in in Portal mode. Activate Usb Debugging. Execute Superoneclick with Adminrights and then click on root, restart your phone.

If this dont work try this:

Step 1; Turn your android phones USB Debugging OFF.
Step 2: Download and launch Superoneclick with Admin rights on your PC. Then Click Root.
Step 3: When it says: Waiting for Device, Turn USB Debugging ON
Step 4: It’ll now run RATC
Step 5: When it says: Starting ADB Server…
Step 6: Turn your android phones USB Debugging OFF
Step 7: Turn your android phones USB Debugging ON
Step 8: Turn your android phones USB Debugging OFF
Step 9: All BEFORE it says “Waiting for device…” again

With this can you root the official china Froyo?
And would work the camera?

yes root official Chinese froyo, flash light won't work properly.
As far as I know, camera module of new batch is different from old ones, it's a hardware problem.

Oh nice. Thank you. Ive just tested it with offical Chinese 2.2. camera works. Only the flashlight does not work. Mby you should mention that you have to activate Usb Debugging and dont forget to reboot.

PS: after reboot flashlight works!

Just kicked all the the Chinese stuff with Systemappremover and made a picture from my girlfriend in the dark Perfect.

Ok, so this is Froyo and everything works including camera and flash? Are there instructions included in the zip file explaining what I need to do?

could someone upload a nad backup for people who have 2.51 undowngradable?
