Question [Q] Please help me "Step-by-step" on howto root my Blade

Hi
Been doing alot of WinMo flashing the last year and now I've bought an Zte Blade. Here in Sweden they are cheap as h*ll and they seem to be ok as phones come.

My problem is that because of my "Obsessive Compulsive Flashing Disorder" I now need to learn how to flash/root my new Android phone. XDA is my only source of knowledge in this matter and I was surprised to find that there are no "Step-by-step" instructions for this here in the Blade section...

I mught be a noob... Please help me in the right direction.

Default Debrand Yoigo ZTE Blade - Orange led to Green Man

Hi,

I followed the instructions here:

chrislowthian.co.uk/how-to-unlock-de-brand-and-root-the-zte-blade-orange-san-francisco/1824

Which an xda-developer forum discussion member suggested.

I tried it and when rebooting at the end, I was stuck at the green man.

I can still enter Clockworkmod Recovery by holding volume down at boot.

Is there a different r8_update or r* debranding .zip file I should use for Yoigo, instead of the one there linked for De-Orange-ifying? Does it matter?

Also, before I tried to rebrand, I backed up my ROM with ROM Manager.

I think I see that file is advanced-recovery in the clockworkmod recovery screen.

Should I use advanced-restore, select the ROM I backed up, and then choose one of these: restore boot, system, data, cache, sd-etx options? Which option should I choose? Or should I use non-advanced restore, or restore zip from sd card -> install /sdcard/update.zip (what is that?) ?

And then, when I have my phone back, what debranding ROM can I properly use for Yoigo?

Thanks!
Gary
