change the file in attached zipfile with the file in /system/lib to fix the call/prox sensor issue.

tested just a minute ago and is working!

I've also got the proximitiy issue, this was an issue with the compiled from source builds which Kali had fixed with changes the files specified in the previous posts, I have reverted to Gridlocks build #55, until the fix is implemented by Kali

Thumbs up for the libht_ril.so solution!
I've extracted it from Gridlock's build 55, copied it over to /system/lib via Root Explorer, and now everything is fine.

But gridlock says both builds are the same!?

Lol, that is interesting.
The file from build 55 is working nicely for me. And I don't think that placebo effect is working on phones.
Most likely the build is not exactly the same, because the proximity sensor issue was present in older builds, but it is gone from the recent ones.

i have no problem with 2.x ril (GB ask for 3), i can go back to 1.6 until this problem is solved

I did a full wipe came from build 51 of gridlock.
And made a couple of calls..both proximity sensor and call were fine..as per normal no issues here.
Mind you. I never have had the proximity sensor issue.
