Default What the hell is compatible with this phone (mic adapter for earphones)?

So I did a lot of research on samsung phones and eventually came to the nokia ad57 as an adapter for my yuin earphones to use as a mic + play/pause. Everyone was saying it worked with the galaxy S and other samsung phones so I assumed it would work here, but it doesn't!

So which adapter would work?

same stuff that are compatible with the SGS

which are some of the same connector & adapters with Nokia

check the SGS accessories sub forum, you will find a lot of stuff

Donation is appreciated but not required, a cup of Coffee would suffice

Yeah but how can I know what to trust will work from there when that's where I learned that the nokia ad57 would work, and it doesn't.

i got a generic one from Deal Extreme and it works,

but it kinda sucks, as it only pause/play as it's lacking the extra buttons for fast forward, or go back

some of the nokia ones with 2 or more buttons works, with those you can do next song or previous song

there are some APPs that you can install and lets you configure the Buttons operation

i'll probably try it with the one i purchased already, and see if i can use just 1 button to do all the funtions

Yeah the nokia ad57 that I got has one button but unfortunately it doesn't work even though multiple people have said it works with their Galaxy S. But for me you can barely hear the songs and you have to hold down the button to hear it fully so yeah, not compatible.

Which is the generic one you got? I just need one where I can answer calls and switch tracks, don't really mind being able to fast forward or anything.

Yeah I just picked a random one from there, guess we'll see how this goes. It was cheap so I figure worth the try.
