Default Just called microsoft, and got a key EZ Mode

So i just got a WP7 product key with NO problems by simply calling them... here's my story;

called;

Rep: How can i help you?
me: I just purchased an HTC HD7 online and I need a activation key for live services.

Rep: Okay, what you need is a product key?
ME: yes

Rep: okay (long story short, he wanted my first / last name, and email address)
me: (supplied the info)

Rep: Please wait while i generate a key for you.
me: okay.

Rep: Now do you have the HD7 with you?
Me: No, i just purchased it online through T-Mobile online, and they told me, once i get the phone, i can come down to the nearest location and they would help me activate it, or just call microsoft and get an activation key from them, and i live far from the nearest Tmobile store so i figured i'd just call and do it myself.

Rep: okay, that's fine, let me know when you're ready i can supply you with the key
Me: okay.

Key recieved, no further questions asked. That simple... call literaly took about 3-4 minutes.

just thought i'd share how easy it was, for all of you curious on obtaining a key.

Yeah is actually not hard I call them up said I have a HD7 and needed an product key they ask for name/phone/email (I think they already had my info since I'm a Zune Pass owner they wanted just to verify my info)
took the operator like a minute or so to generate the key and that's it didn't ask my provider or IMEI or anything.

lol, calm down child!

I wasnt "flaming" for posting in the "general" section, I was simply stating that this is old news, It has no need for a new topic as there is topics already about this exact topic, You could have just put this comment in there, I myself have activated and found it easy (like many others have) but we decided to put them all in another thread instead of flooding teh place, which is why I said it would have been better in one of those.

Do you think it would be a good idea for everybody who found it easy to activate made a new thread??

PS. If you think that was "flaming" you need to grow up.

I absolutely do... reason being it is a general section about windows 7... so me sharing my experience is a great idea if I want to open a new thread, being a fellow member, I have the right to do so. If I want to open a thread about anything that has to do with windows 7 in any "general" way... it being the general section, i'm free to do so... that's what it's there for.

So if everyone wanted to post about how cool windows 7 is, and how they got their keys, and what color scheme they like on their windows 7 OS, they're free to do so without someone saying "old news" "worthless post" "noob" "who cares"

As I stated before, if there's nothing nice to say, or constructive in a sense that doesn't make the writer (thread starter) feel like they just did something "wrong" then don't do it... (unless of course they did indeed do something against board rules) Just read the thread think to YOURSELF "old news" then hit the back button or click back into the general section.

All i'm saying. The end.

Dont be ridiculous, So you think its ok for every single member who has activated there WP7 HD2 to make a thread same as this one, not a chance, infact mods would start to delete them or merge them.

I understand this is a "general" but the fact is that this isnt really a "Topic" its a comment and should be put under the other windows activation topic, there is no need to create a new topic every time somebody gets excited because they activated their phone.

Also at no point did I say.. "worthless post" "noob" "who cares" I simply said thsi is old news, it wasnt as if it was new information it was same as we all have done and should have simply been added to our own experiences in the windows live activation topic(s).

Oh and you say not to post unless it was constructive, well I think you need to look up the word constructive in dictionary because the whole point and purpose of my reply was is that it was constructive, just because it was criticism doesn't mean it wasn't "constructive"

To put it simply I read/clicked on your thread because I expected to see something new, It sounded like you had new info or new way to get code but all it was is simply exactly teh same as what we have already posed about a week ago so had no reason to be created as a new topic and should have simply bee added to the other thread.

Ill repeat, "Old news".
