ClockworkMod may change the fs type while restoring.
Thank you very much for your answer, bakpinar!

I've tried all mount options and none of them did work for me. This time I was looking particularly for the different error messages. For ext2 + FAT32/FAT16 appears "invalid argument" and for ext3 + ext4 appears "no such device".

Do you have any other idea or possibility to mount it?

P.S.: I was able to look at and backup the files of the ext3 partition manually through adb, so the ext-backup of ClockworkMod was/is indeed all right.

Hello,

I have two Android Phones (both 2.1 original), Samsung Galaxy 3 and HTC Hero. The Samsung is rooted with Z4root and the second partition is FAT32 formated. Everything worked fine with Link2SD. I tried the same with the HTC Hero, Z4root no problem, installing Link2SD no problem, it got SU rights. But when I start Link2SD i get the warning "Mount script error, Mount script cannot be created. write: No space left on device". I tried all partition types as Ext2, Ext3 and FAT32, no chance. What can I had to do with the Hero to fix this problem? Thank You for help.

Regards Frank

Ok, I repartitioned the microsd card completely and tried it first with the same configuration like it was before, when all was working right (first partition fat32 and second ext3). No luck. The same as before... no mounting.

Then I partitioned the second one as fat32 too and copied the backup of the former ext3 partition to it. Link2SD was able to mount the partition now and is recognizing all of its linked files. My problem now is that everytime when I try (or Android tries) to start a linked app I get a FC.

Any idea again? Thanks...

Hi AfroLoots! Thank you. Before I was only looking for a global option like this in Link2SD... Your tip helped and now it works again.

hi bakpinar,
first of all, great app ! i'm looking forward to implement it on my device

but i wonder if you could accept special request ? i'm using Archos 5 Internet Tablet (Gen 7, one of the first android tablet in the market) which still only use 1.6 Donut *sigh . currently we managed to get it rooted with the limitation full access to /system/bin only (A5IT using cramfs as /system, which is made it as read-only). your app is installed fine to the device, but it can't pass through initialization step as the app need to write a command shell to /system/etc, which we only got read access.

so, can you make some mod to fit it with our device limitation, perhaps make it linked to other directory other than /system/etc ? any help would be appreciated

thank you very much
