One more thing: the linked apps doesn't appear in the market list (like some other users already said here)... If someone could fix this would be a great achievement... Thanks and sorry for the bothering

I have created both a fat 32 and ext2 partition, the fat32 partition is first but the program does not see the ext2 partition. it says it doesnt exist. if i go to root explorer i see that sd-ext exists and is the size of 800mb which is how big i made that partition.. any help?

Does the ROM itself need any special code, or will this work with a rooted stock ROM so long as the partitions are created properly?

Restarted twice already. I use the mini partition program that was suggested in the first post in the thread. I made sure the program has SU permission and i am using a OG droid with UD 2.5

Default What if SD card temporary removed?

Sounds totally awesome. I have one question.
What if SD card is temporary removed? I exeperienced all apps corrupted when sd is shortly unavailable while using app2sd. Is this more reliable?
Thanks very much!

Have installed this on my freshly rooted desire running stock 2.2
Created the partitions as described, one primary fat32 and an ext2 primary. Installed link2sd and it couldn't see the partition or mount it. Restarted phone still didn't work. Unmounted SD card and remounted and it could see the ext2 partition. Linked a few Alps, worked great. But then phone started to random reboot :-s on reboot ext2 partition was not mounted. So unmounted and remounted SD card and it worked but link2sd no longer recognised the apps linked earlier!!!! Says no apparently have been linked even though looking at the status they are there. And they no longer showed as installed!!!! So lost a few Apps, had to reinstall and now instead of saving space I've got less space than before!!!!!! Lost nearly 10mb in space!!!!!!!

Any suggestions how I can clear up the mess? Need to tag this app as alpha or beta at least.....
