Default [Q] Why can't I find run.bat?

I'm trying to root my Epic & when I go into the Galaxy S drivers it doesn't show run.bat. I'm on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine trying to run the one-click root from the Development sub-forum. I downloaded the proper drivers but when I open the file it only shows the folder "USB Drivers." Even when I enter the folder there isn't run.bat. Am I missing something here? What am I doing wrong?

Did you also download the one-click .zip that has all the rooting scripts in it?

Yeah, I have both files downloaded & they are on my computer. Should they be on the phone?

Did you download the one click and extract it? I'm a little confused after reading this thread.

run.bat is in the one-click zip file, not in the drivers.

Okay, I have the run.bat file in the one click root zip. Does the usb driver file have to be on my computer or phone? Sorry for having so many questions.

you need the usb drivers installed on your computer so that your computer will see the phone.

Make sure usb debugging is enabled on your phone.

Unzip the one-click to its own folder

Plug in the phone, open the one-click folder, and run run.bat.
