Question about unlocked quantum

Stop I asn going to be the new owner if a quantum very soon. If I unlock the phone and plug out in to zune will it lock the phone again?

Hi...I have an unlocked AT&T LG Quantum I'm using here in Canada on the Rogers network.

If I read your comment right, I believe the answer is No. Plugging the phone into Zune on your PC will not lock the phone again. Syncing with ZUNE works fine for me and has no effect on the locking.

How did you go about unlocking?
I'm getting a bit ticked with Rogers myself, and might pick up a t-mobile Quantum and try it out on Wind. TMob and Wind use the same radio bands, so I'll do some verification, but I want to be sure I can unlock 1st.

BTW, I have an unlocked Samsung Focus from AT&T running perfectly on Rogers. Neither Zune, Developer Unlocking, nor a factory reset caused the phone to relock.

I picked up an unlocked LG Quantum C900B in Canada from SN Traders (you will need to do a search since I cannot post links yet) . It was the last piece they had remaining 3 weeks ago but I would call them and find out if they can get some more. Works perfectly so far and have had no issues with syncing with Zune. It even works outside of Canada in a country where WP7 phones are not yet available.

I searched the internet for LG Quantum unlocking codes and picked what looked like a fairly reputable bunch.

They had to do an 'extended search' to get me a 16-digit code, but it worked just fine.

Got mine unlocked for 5 bucks online and I do like that the XML provisioning doc is viewable. With a little more research I (or someone faster and more knowledgable) may be able to edit security policies and the xml doc and create a blank template for pushing MMS settings. Just a hypothesis so far, will take a while because Im a novice here but will keep checking into it.

LOVE the chevron unlock util so far. And checking out the ringtone loader today as well.

I used cellunlocker.net.
Had it in about 24 hours for around 5 bucks. They couldn't unlock my focus tho. Had to go through an ebay guy for that one.

I used swift unlock cost 9usd and I got the code in 24 hours. Wow, there has been a lot of activity here since I last posted I haven't checked back in a while.
