You might ask in the viper rom thread if they have one or could make one. Or just instal viper rom since it is under volted.

And I also thought cwm3 (and by association ext4) was only compatible with dk28

Yep thats right, there are no kernels for 2.2 yet, but if you want to undervolt for any 2.1 rom. There is a file that will give you outrageous battery life. I go 2 days with moderate to heavy use.
Here it is but its only for 2.1 ROMS. It is the Baked Snack kernel for Outrageous battery life and in my opinion, the best. It can overclock to 1.2 GHZ with the same voltage as 1.0 GHZ.....

Viperrom 4.0.x series says its undervolted and 3g speed govenor killed. I didn't bother to verify whether it was as I don't really care personally about undervolting. But yes, you would need dk28 if you decided to go that route.
