Monopoly - Demo not working?

It tries to open, but force closes. I bought the monopoly app from EA games and installed it. However, there seems to be a problem with the file. It opens for a brief moment, then sends me back to the home screen. I emailed EA games already but have yet to get a response. Do I have to be rooted to play games that I did not download from the market? My phone is 100% stock.
