Default [Q] Can i undo the the hack that makes my HD2 think its an HD7?

i keep getting error 244 wrong device id when i try to flash a radio or rom. i looked it up and it says it's because i'm trying to put an hd2 rom on a phone that now thinks it's a hd7. how can i revert this so i can put a new radio on it to improve my data reception? thanks for your help

Turn your phone off. Press and hold the volume down button and then switch it back on. The phone should enter the bootloader (3 coloured screen). It should say "serial" at the bottom of the screen. Plug your USB cable in and wait for it to display "usb". The follow the instructions in various other threads on how to flash a different radio with custom ruu.

Interesting problem. A hard-reset won't change anything and reflash WP7 also not?
Try to delete the deployed .xml file from the Windows-Folder (use TouchXplorer) and then rerun the HDT Connection Wizard. Maybe it sets it back to default.
Phone history:

You can't hook up the phone while you're booted into wp7 and run a flasher expecting it to work like it did with winmo... it's not gonna work when you undo the registry either. You have to go directly into bootloader and run flasher then. No reason to undo your registry changes.
Also, in response to the person suggesting to delete the custclear file from windows folder... that won't work because it's deleted anyways when you run connection manager. You would have to create a new provxml, run and then do the custclear thing again to change your registry again. But, like I said, to change radios, it's unneeded.
Device: TMoUS HD2
ROM: XBoxmod's WP7 on NAND & Android on SD.
Check out THIS THREAD for tutorial on partitioning your SD card to dual-boot WP7 & Android. Post #2 has many SD Android builds edited by me to be MAGLDR compatible.
