Default [Q] nook color charges when plugged to usb, but doesn't connect

Hello!
I got a nook color about a month ago, and i got it rooted about a week or 2 after that.

However, a few days ago, when I tried plugging in my rooted nook color into the usb port into my computer, it wouldn't detect the nook color, but instead show a "charging" notice on the nook color.

On my other computer I also tried plugging it in, and it also didn't detect the nook color.

I also unrooted my NC, but that didn't help.
First computer runs Ubuntu 10.04, 2nd one runs Windows 7.

Is there something odd with my charger, my computers, or my NC?
How can you fix this?

Sorry, i'm new to the forum.

have the same problem, mine doesn't quick charge when connected to wall. I think it's a problem with the cable because people have been saying that their NC isn't charging when its plugged into an outlet.

Add me to the list of charging but not connecting. My problem may have been going back and forth between my mac (home) and windows (work).

Go back to B&N and ask for a new cable. Fixed it for me. Now it's just a pain in the arse to insert the USB but it connects fine and charges fine.
