After some testing, I have noticed that Gtalk works fine on a clean install of Elelinux Light version - while having almost no other new apps installed from market nor any widgets running.
I have about 98MB Ram free and the Running Service (Cached Process) called Talk does not get killed.
Once the Ram goes down to say around 40MB free, Talk continuously gets killed off while other apps remain to run alright, like Whatsapp, skype, etc.
Can anyone else confirm this?
Would very much like Talk not to get killed so easily.
Edit Post Update: After turning on the browser, BAM!- it immediately kills of Talk in the cached process as well as various other processes that were running. Even tho there was still plenty of ram to be used. I noticed that the browser was taking up 22MB of ram.
